The couple in this image are a representation of a couple, who have been married for over 50 years--they are also my parents--who emulate stability, trust, happiness, and thoughtful times. The meaning is amplified when considering the lighthouse--its history and its use: it's a stable structure that's trusted by seamen to keep the crew safe--and probably keeping them (smile) happy and reassured by flashing a warning for the rocks that lay below.
