High up the mountain, Old Man David takes an Autumn hike. To the top of the Stump Mountain. Riight behind his old cabin he inherited from his kin in the early 1800s.
Today he hopes to see a deer to smoke up jerry for the winter.
Times get hard in the winter up in the Appalachians. The sites of the wilderness bring comfort to his soul, a meaning to the hard life he chose here. The non ending beauty of the seasons.
